Where the Chaos Couldn’t Follow is more than my memoir. It is the story of surviving childhood abuse, becoming a mother of two before the age of 16, enduring domestic violence and sexual assault, and refusing to allow trauma to write the final chapter of my life.
Statistically, I should not be where I am today. But through faith, healing, perseverance, and purpose, I went from leaving school in the eighth grade to earning my GED—and eventually my Ph.D.
