“It is wise to believe something wonderful

is about to happen”. ~Anonymous

Welcome to Surviving with Dr. Chrissie — a space where truth meets healing and survival turns into purpose. I created this platform to give voice to the stories we’re often told to silence — the ones shaped by trauma, resilience, faith, and the long road to becoming whole again. Here, we talk about real life: the hard days, the messy healing, and the moments of grace that remind us we’re still standing. Through honest conversations, survivor stories, and a little bit of humor and hope, Surviving with Dr. Chrissie is more than a podcast or a blog — it’s a community. Because surviving isn’t the end of the story; it’s where the rebuilding begins.

Embrace Your Ambition: Stop Apologizing for Growth

There comes a point in life when you stop apologizing for your ambition.

You stop shrinking yourself to make other people comfortable. You stop pretending your goals aren’t big. You stop acting like your success is luck.

If you’ve ever felt guilty for working harder, dreaming bigger, or refusing to settle, remember this: confidence is not arrogance.

Being exceptional isn’t about believing you’re more valuable than everyone else. It’s about recognizing that you’ve put in the work, learned from your failures, and refused to quit when others did.

Here are a few reminders:

1. Stop apologizing for your growth.

Not everyone will understand your vision. Some people will call your confidence “too much” simply because it reminds them of what they’re afraid to pursue. Don’t let that stop you.

2. Your standards are allowed to be high.

Whether it’s your career, relationships, or personal goals, you don’t have to lower your standards just to fit in. High standards attract people who are committed to growth.

3. Let your work speak louder than your ego.

True excellence doesn’t require constant comparison. The most accomplished people continue learning, improving, and lifting others along the way.

4. Success can feel lonely — and that’s okay.

As you grow, your circle may change. Some people will celebrate your success, while others may distance themselves. That’s part of growth, not a sign you’re on the wrong path.

5. Stay humble enough to keep learning.

No matter how successful you become, there is always someone with more experience, a different perspective, or a lesson to teach you. Confidence and humility can exist together.

Final Thought

The goal isn’t to be better than everyone else.

The goal is to become the best version of yourself.

When you focus on becoming stronger, wiser, kinder, and more disciplined than you were yesterday, you no longer need to compare yourself to anyone else. Your confidence comes from your character, your resilience, and the work you’ve put in — not from standing above others.

Own your success. Celebrate your progress. Keep growing. Read https://a.co/d/06JF0jeW

The world doesn’t need a smaller version of you — it needs the version of you that isn’t afraid to reach your full potential.

I’d love to hear from you.

What’s one moment when you realized you had outgrown your comfort zone?

Or, what’s one goal you’re refusing to give up on this year?
