There’s something about being in paradise that quiets everything.
The noise.
The chaos.
The constant “go, go, go” of real life.
Sitting here at an all-inclusive resort—sun warming my skin, the ocean stretching endlessly in front of me—I finally have space to breathe. Not just physically… but emotionally, spiritually. The kind of deep breath you don’t realize you’ve been holding for years.
And in that stillness, I can’t help but look back.
Not just at the last year.
But at everything.
The moments I didn’t think I’d survive.
The nights I cried myself to sleep.
The battles no one saw.
The strength I didn’t know I had.
And somehow… I’m here.
In peace.
In gratitude.
In awe.
Because if you would’ve told me back then—when life felt like it was falling apart—that one day I’d be sitting in a place like this… whole, healing, and hopeful… I don’t know if I would’ve believed you.
But God knew.
Every closed door that broke my heart… He was protecting me.
Every delay that frustrated me… He was preparing me.
Every painful chapter… He was writing something bigger.
And now, I can see it.
Not perfectly. Not fully. But enough to know that none of it was wasted.
Because here I am… watching doors open in ways I never imagined.
My book—my story—is about to be out in the world.
The same story I once tried to hide.
The same pain I once questioned the purpose of.
Now it’s becoming something that can help someone else breathe again.
That’s God.
Turning pain into purpose.
Turning survival into strength.
Turning broken pieces into something beautiful.
And sitting here in this moment, I feel it so clearly—
This isn’t just a vacation.
This is a reminder.
A reminder that healing is possible.
That peace is real.
That the life you prayed for… the one you cried for… the one you fought for… can actually happen.
Not overnight.
Not without scars.
But it can happen.
So if you’re in a season where everything feels heavy—
Where doors keep closing—
Where you’re questioning if things will ever change—
Let this be your reminder:
They will.
Keep going.
Keep trusting.
Keep believing.
Because one day, you’re going to sit in your own version of paradise… and realize that everything you went through led you right there.
And when that moment comes—
You’ll understand.
God was working the whole time.
